Since the day I said YES to God, He has transformed my life forever ❤️. I could spend all my life writing about God 🥹🥰.
Every day of my life, I say, “Thank you Jesus, Thank you God”.
I’m so glad you are reading this article because God is my partner and everything 💕.

An excerpt from our last blog post of 2024 😍🥰. Here’s the blog link:
I ended last year by sharing that 2024 was my year of being God’s yes girl and I got feedback regarding this message.

This year, I’m dedicated to take you on a journey to share why you need to say YES to God this year and how to make 2025 your year of being God’s yes child.
Let’s begin with a prayer: Dear God, we are grateful and glad for a new year and we pray as we view this blog post, you use it as a light 💡 to renew and transform our life forever in Jesus name Amen 🙏🏽.
Drum rolls 🥁🥁🥁
Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls,
Welcome to our fifth article from The Reality Step Out Package 🥳🥳🥳.

Our Fifth Package is from the areas of Spirituality and Relationships 💕🎉🎊.
I’m so excited 💃💃💃.
For the past year, I have discovered that partnership with God starts with a decision to say YES to God.
Today, 14th February, 2025 is Valentine’s Day, also known as the Feast of St. Valentine 💝🥳.
It is globally recognized as a day when partners (or lover’s) go on dates, celebrate each other and their relationship. But first, before they were partners (boyfriend and girlfriend or husband and wife), they had to make a decision to say YES to each other and commit to the partnership.
The same applies in our partnership with God. However, God celebrates us daily with the gift of life, air, food and everything we need. Our very existence is a celebration and everyday is a special occasion 🥰🎉🎊
What does it mean to say YES to God?
🎊It means obedience to God.
🎉It means partnership, building and fellowship with God.
🎊It means discovering, refining and fulfilling your purpose on earth.
🎉It means accepting God’s calling and living in the Will of God.
Let’s delve into some Biblical Examples:
✨Noah said YES when God asked him to build the ark (Genesis 6:22).
✨ Abraham said YES when God asked him to sacrifice his only son (Genesis 22:12).
✨Joseph said YES when God asked him to forgive his brothers who sold him into slavery (Genesis 50:19-21).
✨Moses said YES when God called him to go to Egypt and rescue the Israelites (Exodus 14:30-31).
✨ Samuel said YES to God when He called him to be a prophet (1st Samuel 3:10).
✨David said YES when God asked him to fight the giant Goliath with only a sling and a stone (1st Samuel 17:45-50).
✨Esther said YES when God called her to save her people (Esther 8:17).
✨ Daniel said YES when he worshipped and served only God (Daniel 6:10). God made him prosper and reign for years (Daniel 6:28).
✨ The disciples said YES when Jesus asked them to leave everything behind and follow him (Matthew 4:19-20).
✨ Paul said YES when God called him to deliver the good news of Jesus to the Gentiles (Romans 1:1 and 2nd Timothy 4:7).
✨Jesus said YES when God called him to save us (John 3:16-17). Today, we celebrate Christmas and Easter annually ☺️ and Jesus is seated at the right hand throne of God (Hebrews 12:2).
There are many other people who said YES to God (and yes to their calling) in the Bible and today, their stories are examples to live by.
Contemporary Examples:
✨ Bishop David Ibiyeomie said YES to God when he was called to start the Online Morning Devotion. Today, thousands globally, including myself, are a testament of the Online Morning Devotion.

Here’s one of her podcast episode that transformed my life:
✨ My father, Elder Reuben Okon said YES to God and for the past 23 years of our life, we’ve been living in the faithfulness, goodness and love of God.

✨ When you say YES to God, He makes the impossible possible in your life (Matthew 19:26B).
✨ You will partner and fellowship with God all the days of your life (Psalm 23:6).
✨God directs, guides and leads you on the right path when you say YES to Him. God’s way leads to rest (Matthew 11:28).
✨ When you say YES to God, you will have peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

✨ You can never lack when you say YES to God because He provides us with our Daily Bread (Matthew 6:11). You could listen to this sermon by Apostle Joshua Selman on “Our Daily Bread”. Here’s the podcast link:
✨ When you say YES to God, you will know His calling (purpose) for your life and fulfill the will of God.
Also, it enables you to live a purposeful life (Jeremiah 1:5).
✨ When you say YES to God, you cannot fail in life and you will experience joy, fulfillment and the best of life (James 1:17).
✨ When you say YES to God, your life becomes a testimony (Acts 1:8). A testimony of the faithfulness of God.
This is my testimony:
Last year, I decided to say YES to God (and YES to my calling). Since I started this journey, my life has been renewed daily. I’ve experienced a total transformation from my spiritual life, career, education, academics, finance, health, friendship to relationship.
I’ve experienced growth. Sometimes, it’s uncomfortable because I have to let go of plans and actions that doesn’t align with the will of God and I felt lonely at the beginning because it’s a personal journey (which is also termed as personal development/personal growth). Later, I realized that it is a journey of partnership with God; The Word of God and The Holy Spirit and this means, I am never alone and I have the perfect companions in life ❤️. This reminds me of a song by A Gospel Musician, Victoria Orenze called “I Get Backing”. Here’s the link to listen:
From saying YES to God, I have discovered my purpose and I am living in the will of God. This has led me to a life of gratitude and fulfillment and most importantly, this is a lifelong journey.
It is my dedication to God that I, Janet Reuben Okon will fulfill my purpose on earth and leave this life empty in Jesus name Amen 🙏🏽

How you can communicate with God
(hear/ listen when God speaks to you):
✨Build a personal relationship with God:
Through Salvation:

Through Spiritual Transformation: This journey involves:
•Building an altar of prayer: I discussed on my prayer altar in our blog posts:
•Reading and Studying the Word of God.
Also, reading devotionals to strengthen your walk with God. e.g. Women’s Devotional and Study Bible.
•Listening and watching teachings:
A teaching I would recommend is:
The Ministry of Light (The Journey beyond Salvation) with Apostle Joshua Selman.
Here’s the link to listen:
✨A great guide and companion in this journey has been The Holy Spirit (John 16:13). The Holy Spirit breathes into my soul through prayer and the word of God.
This blog post is a mandate💡to guide you in your journey with God ❤️. I will end with this new year message:

Now, my question to you today is,
“will you say YES to God”?
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light ~1st Peter 2:9
