I found myself avoiding this blog post, not only because I could barely process this new season I’m currently in but it feels like I’m being stretched more than ever. As a writer and blogger, I prefer to express how I feel than hide it, even when I can’t word it properly. It will forever be a blessing to me for how I was able to convert my social media platforms gradually years ago to be a space that inspires me. As I was scrolling through Instagram, I discovered posts that could describe how I truly felt and it was termed ‘GROWTH’, that’s absolutely right! My friend who is also a March celebrant asked me how I feel being 24. One thing I could think about is how excited I was. She asked further, “what makes you excited?”. I said, “I love my growth”.

It’s been 7 years of consistently writing and publishing articles about my absolute favorite month of the year 🥰🥰🥰.
What a joy to pen down how I feel and let the world into my life as a writer and blogger! 🥰💃

Every year, I countdown to my birth month and most especially, my birthday because it makes me so happy, grateful and it’s special 🥰.
This year, I planned that I’ll start something new on my blog for International Women’s Month and here’s how it went:
On 1st March 2025, I shared this video to launch The Women’s Health Series for International Women’s Month 🥰🥳.
My darlings, I honestly didn’t know how stressful and very attentive it is to create and post a video. OMG! I had many re-shoots, spent hours editing on capcut and finally decided to post (this right here is the icing on the cake lol). I believe with consistency I will get better at shooting videos, editing and posting because I plan to expand to YouTube (I know, this is the 10th time you might read this but believe me, it will happen very soon. Can I get amen?)

🎉 On 7th March 2025, I published an article on how we can create a healthier and safer environment for The Women’s Health Series. Here’s the blog link:
🎊 On International Women’s Day, we discussed the history of women’s day and how we can build and maintain good health. Here’s the blog link:
🎉 On 14th March 2025, I published an article on how we can prevent discrimination against women in the workplace for The Women’s Health Series. Here’s the blog link:
🎊 On 21st March 2025, I published an article on how we can prevent endometriosis for The Women’s Health Series. Here’s the blog link:
🎉 On 28th March 2025, I published an article on the Importance of women’s community in motherhood for The Women’s Health Series. Here’s the blog link:

How beautiful is it that Women’s Month falls in my birth month? What a blessing!

Guess who clocked a new age on 31st March 2025?
Our Girl, Our Girl, Our Girl!
The Overall Best in Celebration, Birthday, Enjoyment and Living!
Yes, I’m screaming…! Lol!
I actually thought I will have a busy schedule on my birthday since it was on a Monday but it turned out to be a public holiday 💃

So, I snapped my birthday pictures in the month of February.
As usual, I had created a birthday moodboard for my hair, makeup, outfit, pose, jewelries, styles and guess what? I ended up creating my own styles because we (the photographer and I) realized that the styles didn’t fit the theme of my birthday shoot. So, the photographer told me to BE ME & DO ME (be myself & showcase my styles) and this will honestly be the theme for the rest of my life. This reminds me of the time that my lecturer shared that I should always be myself and this was his parting words to me in the university.

The journey of being myself has been transformative and this is why I dedicated Chapter 24 to doing two things:
✨1. Be myself and let my light shine as I’ve been created to, it’s what I’m made for.

✨2. To hone my gifts and talents and choose greatness.
Every part of ourselves that makes us who we are, deserves to be nurtured.
I want to become great in my craft, but greatness takes time and years of development but I’m committed and dedicated to the process.
It’s a new year of being passionate and purposeful.
I’m ready for this new chapter and choosing to walk in my purpose and let my light shine daily.

What a great woman I am becoming! ✨

I was featured on Ambition Babes – Her Story Event on International Women’s Day and this truly defines my journey so far.

My makeup artist ate with this look! 😍😍😍
For someone who rarely wears lashes, I felt really comfortable 🥰🥰🥰.

Shout-out to my makeup artist and hairstylist for always being there for me 💕. She’s been my makeup artist and hairstyle since I was 19 years old and now, I’m 24! 🥰

Please patronize my girl, she’s very good at her craft ✨

I love that I get to do what makes me happy, be passionate (interested) in my craft and generally in life, get to know and love God, be purposeful (and intentional), be inspired and inspiring, keep learning, get better and elevate.
My darlings, this is growth! ✨

That’s why I wake up everyday and I am grateful for the gift of life because what a blessing it is to be Janet Reuben Okon! ❤️✨

“For God so loved the world, that He gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him”.
